Leishmaniasis is a disease fo which the genus Leishmania protozoan parasites are responsible, and spread by the bite of certain types of sandflies. The ways through which the disease can be present are mucocutaneous, cutaneous, and visceral leishmaniasis. The cutaneous form presents with skin ulcers, while the mucocutaneous form presents with ulcers of the mouth, skin, and nose, and the visceral form starts with skin ulcers and then later presents with low red blood cells, fever, and enlarged liver and spleen. This is the forum for discussing anything related to this health condition
