Contractions but not yet working

Starting your 38th week of pregnancy (= 40th week of amenorrhea), know that you can give birth at any time. It's up to you to monitor the warning signs. Control the frequency of your contractions: if they are spaced less than 10 minutes apart, your body is preparing to give birth.

And if you already lose the waters?

You can now give birth at any time. Be very attentive to the warning signs. It is possible that you feel painful contractions, which are nevertheless distinct from labor contractions insofar as they are not regular and disappear fairly quickly. On the other hand, if the analgesics do not get to the end of your pain, and they radiate from the bottom of your back to the front and spread to the groin, the work probably began. Check their frequency: if they are spaced less than 10 minutes apart, your body is preparing to give birth.

Some women lose water before the first contractions. In this case, there is a good chance that it will start within 24 hours. If you lose water, note the time, color and amount of liquid. And go to maternity without waiting, the baby could be in pain. In fact, once the water pocket is broken, the baby is no longer protected and may be in contact with germs coming up from the vagina.
