Hydro-electrolytic replenishment solution for the supply of electrolytes (sodium and potassium) by venous route, as well as a carbohydrate calorie intake of 200 kcal per liter of solution. Br>

Not applicable.

This medication is contraindicated in the following situations:

· Heart failure · decompensated

· Respiratory failure, severe

· Hepatic impairment, major

· Hyperkalaemia

· In association with hyperkalaemic diuretics (see section Interactions with other medicines and other forms of interactions)

The use of this medication is not recommended in combination with: angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors and, by extrapolation, with angiotensin II receptor antagonists, tacrolimus (see section 4.3). Other drugs and other forms of interactions)

Warnings

This solution should not be injected intramuscularly.

Comply with a slow infusion rate. The occurrence of any abnormal signs should interrupt the infusion.

Special precautions for use

The use of this solution requires monitoring of the clinical and biological condition of the patient.

The hydroelectrolyte balance (blood and urine ionograms) and blood glucose will be carried out at regular intervals.
This solution containing potassium, serum potassium should be particularly monitored in subjects at risk, hyperkalaemia, for example in cases of severe chronic renal insufficiency

In diabetic patients, increased clinical and biological monitoring and possible adjustment of hypoglycaemic therapy (if necessary to supplement insulin intake)

Do not administer blood simultaneously with the same kit infusion because of the risk of pseudoagglutination

Incompatibilities, physicochemical

It is incumbent upon the physician to judge the incompatibility of an additive medication with respect to this solution by controlling any color change and / or any formation of precipitate, insoluble complex, Crystals.

Before adding a medicinal product, check if the pH zone for which it is effective corresponds to that of that solution.

When a drug is added to this solution, the mixture should be administered immediately.
Interactions related to the presence of potassium

Associations, contraindicated

+ Diuretics, hyperkalaemicants (amiloride, spironolactone, triamterene) alone or together

· Hyperkalaemia, potentially lethal, especially in patients with impaired renal function (addition of hyperkalaemic effects)

Associations, deprecated

+ ACE inhibitors, angiotensin receptor blockers, II

· Hyperkalaemia, potentially lethal, especially in patients with impaired renal function (addition of hyperkalaemic effects)

+ Tacrolimus

· Hyperkalaemia, potentially lethal, especially in patients with impaired renal function (addition of hyperkalaemic effects)

In case of association with other drugs

· Check the compatibility of the components beforehand

· Check the pH

· Do not administer blood simultaneously with the same infusion set because of the risk of pseudo-agglutination.
